(2 years ago)you are not in love. What are you doing? You believe that you are in love just because someone tickles your little fancy. Seriously, what the hell are you doing? Stop tossing the word around like a frisbee. I am guessing that the half of you have never experienced anything even minutely close to love. The people who you supposedly love…they are in a phase, you are in a phase. It all blows over after Billy texts Suzy and tells her she was “lookin’ hot today.” Now your whole life is over because you lost the one you “love.” It’s an amusing joke that all started with him “looking at you with his big brown eyes, and holding your hand.” It just “gave you so many butterflies,” so that must be equivalent to love, right? No. Stop causing teenagers to appear even more ignorant than we’re already portrayed. You give us all a terrible name.
Can you just go read a book or something? Maybe you can go study and get into a good college and then contribute to our society by not being a dumbass. Do you even know what it feels like to have another person by your side for an extended period of time, through thick and through thin? And no, an extended period of time is not 6 months. It’s not even 8 months, and maybe not even a year. There are people out there who have been with their significant other for most of their life. Do you know what it feels like to be with another person who makes their number one priority your happiness and safety? Or a person who does not judge you, but simply loves you because of who you are? That is love, ladies and gentleman.
Why can’t you be patient and try to find the right person when time allows for it? What’s the big rush? You’re young. You have a spectacular life ahead of you with many relationships to come. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t date as a teen because you totally should. But to say you are in love is a bit extreme, especially after a few months. So ridiculous.
